In order to complete the study part of the doctoral study programme, students take examinations from the subjects listed in the ISP. Students are prepared according to the instructions of the guarantor or subject teachers (lectures, self-study, professional consultations) in accordance with the individual study plan, the Study and Examination Regulations of TUL and the relevant directive of the Dean. Examinations on the subjects of the ISP are public and are held in front of a committee. The teacher of the ISP and/or the guarantor of the subject conduct the examination. The presence of a member of the relevant Departmental Board is recommended as well as other possible experts. The supervisor may also be present.
Students are required to take examinations from subjects within two years of admission to the doctoral study programme (excluding interruptions and/or internships).
Upon completion of the professional examination, the examiner (guarantor or teacher of the subject) prepares a “Record of the performance of a professional examination in the DSP”, adds the signatures of all the participants and, in cooperation with the Study Department (SD), enters the student’s examination results into IS STAG. The student will receive the original document and deliver a copy to the supervisor and to the SD for further processing and archiving.
